Abstract
The article addresses the contribution of Religious Education in the context of intercultural dialogue in relation to the challenges of today’s society. It presents the multidimensional role of Religious Education and its contribution to the development of intercultural dialogue. It includes a brief reference to important international texts and initiatives at European level to enhance intercultural dialogue in the context of Religious Education. Finally, reference is made to indicative proposals for inclusion in school of issues of religious diversity.
